Anyone hardwire a V1 into a new SL500 yet? I am trying to figure out the best spot to mount the unit on the window (with the suction cups) before I have the dealer do the hardwiring. Also, has anyone installed the V1 remote display unit on a new SL? If so, where did you put the remote display? Thanks.

I mounted the V1 at the visor (putting on the visor clip reversed so the unit is closer to the windshield), with the concealed display unit in the ash tray.

V1 concealed display unit in ashtray - details
Sorry still don't have time for the photos but here are the details:
The installer took out the plastic ash tray and the concealed display unit fits right in. The lighter socket still works and I can close the ashtray cover to completely hide the concealed display unit.
