You might not remember driving your SL600 for the first time. You will never forget the first time you drove the Vanquish S...and it only gets better.

See what I picked up over on Ferrari chat: Read his write ups on the Vanquish and draw your own conclusions.

What Ferrari to buy?
I own a new Vanquish S. I am not happy with the car.

What Ferrari should I be interested in buying?

The only conclusion that you can draw is the truth. Rather than try to start trouble all you had to do was ask me why I wrote the post.

I do feel a explanation is in order.

When I got my Vanquish S, shortly thereafter I had a problem that I had throught did not have the support of Aston Martin. I got frustrated and was very upset. That is when I wrote the post. I was wrong and I jumped the gun.

I did not expect Aston Martin was going to be able to resolve my problem. Well, they did and they did it with incredible compassion and with incredible speed. The Vanquish S is a very special car and the manufacturer is equally incredible.

I learned a good lesson. Give someone a chance before you draw conclusions. I thought I knew that but obviously in this case, I blew it.

IMHO, you might gain from the same lesson.

You obviously didn't learn from your experience, because you have jumped the gun again.

What conclusion did I come to, and therefore what lesson do I have to learn?

Why should I ask you for an explanation, your posts are clear (if incomplete in each forum)?

If you chose to broadcast the greatness of the car here, I find it strange that concurrently you would complain in another forum, and even stranger that you would not share the disappointments here.

An objective individual might suspect they were being misled, but of course that would only be if they drew a conclusion.

Before I draw mine I'll see if the holes ever get filled in. The explanation offered seems incomplete, and the dates and questions of your various postings on Ferrarchat raise my curiosity.

The bottom line is if one read this forum they'd reach one conclusion, and if one read Ferrarichat they could reach the exact opposite one. Were the loyal readers here left twisting in the wind because of your omissions?

As always "caveat emptor"

One more. Look at the center console. It works so they must have known how to do it.

Up to 790 miles. It is funny, the car really can be driven more than people might suggest.

The problem is because so few drive it that often you get this feeling that you are not supposed to put a lot miles on the car.

Not sure how much I will put on in a year but I am going to try not to limit myself. You really need open roads because that foot gets itchy.

Before I check out the DB9 or the new VantageV8, what was the reason the Aston didn't last too long ? It sure seemed like a good idea at the onset, but obviously short lived ?

Search and ye shall find. As far as I know, the last word that Lovin shared with the board on l'affaire Aston was this post:

Your Vanquish S looks superb, congrats!

Compliments aside, it is disturbing to see comparisons between the Vanquish S and the SL600, you guys should be comparing it to the SL65 and performance wise, I think we know who'd take the cake there.

Not trying to degrade your purchase, I do think it's an awesome machine and i'd probably pick one over the SL65 myself
