Question Factory SL600 Top Speed 130mph?
I was curious if a stock SL600 was limited to 130mph or 155mph at the factory?

I dont believe any V8/V12 Mercs are limited to 130..

2006 Gallardo 6-speed, 2005 SL55, BMW X3
I recall reading someplace that the AMG cars were limited to 155. All other Mercedes were 130. Is this true?

SL's Top Speed Limited to 155mph.

After market tuners, can raise the top speed limiter.

I take mine up to 155mph quite regular,

It amazing because it the speedo bounces between 153 and and 156, the car is dying to go alot faster.

Every non-AMG V-8 is factory limted to 220Kph in North America. It is frustrating as HELL to pick up a North American car at the factory in Germany! There are rumors of some early (non-turbo?) V-12 also being limted to 220Kph.
