GTech Pro RR - TRIED!!!!
I tried the GTech Pro RR out tonight. I looked at my numbers from my one and only track experience and used them for comparison. At the Track my car before any modifications to the ECU and Transmission computers did the following:

330 5.344
1/8 8.120
MPH 88.93
1000 10.481
1/4 12.461
MPH 115.72
Tonight with the GTtech Pro RR, I did the following:
60' 2.324
330 5.471
1/8 7.928
MPH 103.55
1000 9.995
1/4 Didn't Go Far Enough (Oncoming Traffic)

We're on MSN right now..
[19:41] ricky.agrawal: ESP on or off?
[19:42] StephenK: on
[19:42] ricky.agrawal: makes sense, that's why your 60ft's are so high
[19:42] StephenK: I am losing traction at the launch
[19:42] StephenK: I was surprised to see a jump in the 1/8 mph is that realistic
[19:42] ricky.agrawal: yeah but you should feather the throttle rather than relying on ESP, ESP cuts of power
[19:42] ricky.agrawal: yeah
[19:42] ricky.agrawal: but seeing how it's .2 seconds, it could be error in the G-Tech
[19:43] ricky.agrawal: not error, i meant inaccuracy
[19:43] ricky.agrawal: however, it's a good indication that since you did do them repeated....
[19:43] ricky.agrawal: its nice to see that the RENNtech mods are givng you some real power you can put down onto the ground
[19:43] StephenK: Seems the car has more speed as it gets going down the track
[19:43] StephenK: Seems the car has more speed as it gets going down the track
[19:44] StephenK:I am going to find out for sure this sunday
Well then, I for one can't wait to see some new RENNtech modified SL600 dragslips!

According the GTech the 0-60's were: 4.187s and 3.988s.
I don't know how accurate the GTech is, the car definately feels like it has more power know.

Hey Stephen, I was able to get 4.3 seconds 0-60 mph with my Gtech in my Renntech sl600. I relied on esp being on as well. My 60' times were 2.1, I was power braking and launching at 2000 rpms. I think the intercooler issue I am getting fixed now might have been the reason the 0-60 time wasnt that great, we shall see tomorrow when I get it back.

I'd add about 200lb to account for a 1/4 tank of gas and a human driver.
So 4629lbs total. Someone have a more accurate number?

I used my Gtech to run 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds in my Cayenne Turbo Suv. So far I've only managed a 4.9 0-60 mph in my Viper since the car has no traction control or stability control(and I dont feel like dying). The tires break loose entirely too easy (esp in first gear), and to get good 0-60 times you have to run it all the way to 60 in first gear, which is right near the redline. I dont want to bounce the limiter so I keep chickening out and shifting at around 58 mph, lol.

Sl600
I think your SL600 numbers are SLOW (in the 0-60). Is this after the intercooler pump change????
I am going to run mine a little more tonight. There are just so many damn cops on the roads running radar lately.
What do they do if you get caught at 100-120 in 65mph zone in FL.

Pump
Do you know if you are getting the supposed new pump or the same old one they are using. Supposedly the new pump has at least been tested. According to what I have been told dealers are not supposed to use the old one, but you can be sure some will.
If you want email me your part number and I will check for you.

How
Renntech tested mine and said it was not working properly.
I suspect with the power of this car unless people really drive it hard, most will never realize the difference. I would recommend anytime the car is taken to the dealer to tell the service advisor you have noticed a real drop in power especially after driving the car a while. This should clue in even the most clueless mechanic to the intercooler. At least then it will be tested to see if it is still working. Takes a couple of minutes to test.

Attached is the picture of the problematic pump.

my problem is, i have no frame of reference. i bought this car for my wife. i only drive it on the weekends. we babied it during the breakin period, and there is no doubt, this car is fast. as it is my wife's car, i will not be doing mods. i would like to check to see if the car is even faster, but i don't want to open the proverbial can of worms.

I got my car back after they changed the intercooler out. I dont really notice much of a difference in power. I did some 0-60 mph runs today and below is my best run, which is an improvement. I think thats mostly from practice and not from the intercooler change. The intercooler probably only came into play when the car was in use for a long time. Most of my previous 0-60 runs were only a few minutes after the car had been started. The run was made without any power braking and with ESP on. I did however feather the pedal a bit to try and keep ESP from engaging.
