SL/R230: The 2004 Porsche Carrera GT Has Arrived!!
2004, GT Silver with black leather. 578 miles.
This is the most incredible car I've ever driven. The clutch takes a lot of getting used to (I'm still learning). The acceleration is so even that it's scary. 30mph feels exactly the same as 130mph. The power is instant on with absolutely no lag. I only have about 600 miles on her so I haven't really been able to open it up fully. This car sounds like sweet music!! I still haven't turned the radio on yet, I love the engine sounds too much!!!
I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

We do have a group that's going this Friday though, I'm taking my 996TT.
Oh, and be sure to tell me how it drives around town, and just in general. I want the details... But I was thinking of one for the future.... especially since they cut the numbers to 1250. Definitely the ultimate supercar....

Low production volumes of course (might have seen your car being made!) and the entire car is put together in a production line with only 5 or 6 stations and maybe 100 yards long. The engines are assembled in Stuttgart where they make the 911 but the entire carbon fibre bodyshell comes in from Italy. The bins of parts were incredible to look at, real aerospace quality as you can see from the picture of the suspension strut.
It's certainly a feature of Porsche production these days that they really only assemble kits of parts made elsewhere.
I especially like the blue wheel nuts on one side, red on the other to distinguish between left and right hand threads.
Fantastic car, makes the SLR look irrelevant.
Im curious to see it run, How do you think it will do in 1/4 mile?
you going to Dyno Comp for Mercedes Night tonite? me and louie will be there, he just had them put on the Renntech Air box on it.
