Well, I went with this wheel for a few reasons:
1. My old wheels were all scratched up when I got the car.
2. Chrome = easy to clean. (wipe and go)
3. Kind of a classic looking benz style wheel, I have allways liked.
4. My factory wheels were 17, I upgraded to 18's
I paid about 1900.00 wheels and tires (both brand new). I may get flamed, they are reps, but Im not a drag racer or a performance buff, I drive to work and back about 5 or 10 miles... they ride fine to me and look great. I enjoy them and feel I got a good value. I saved a lot of money vs oem wheels. The tires are michelin and ride very nice.
I may have the factory wheels I took off restored and sell them on ebay, the tires where like new.. had about 1000 miles on them but they are 17's and I couldnt reuse them.

I would have sold you my 18" amg chrome wheels with new tires for about 1/2 that price.. anyone else looking for the factory amg chrome wheels?
I was going to get the newer style amg 5 spoke which each spoke is split down the middle... to make the car look newer... but what a hassle to clean, all the little nook's and cranny's.

and "replica" isnt such a dirty word... the car sits on them the same as it sat on my other wheels in my opinion.
The tires were the majority of the cost.
Im very happy with them.

Well I appreciate you assuming my wheels/tires are all beat up..
My 18" wheels/tires are brand new. I took them off 50 miles after buying them.. There are no curb rash, scratches or wear.. they are flawless.. S/H is about $200 UPS Ground i'd think. $1000 is about the price they go for on ebay with tires..
I understand your situation, but assuming one drives wrecklessly and curbs them all up is a rather ridiculous assumption.. i've had my 20s for 20,000 miles and haven't ever curbed them or scratched them.

I didnt want "used" wheels, with curb rash and scratches and such (I wanted brand new flawless).. and didnt want to wait for the perfect set to come about. also, dont forget shipping when buying wheels and tires somewhere other than where I live...exspensive.

I wasnt being rude, I guess what I meant was... If I decided to try and save some money and buy a used set, I risk them having road rash or curb marks. Also I am a spur of the moment kinda guy, 9am at work I thought.. hey.. I could use some new wheels.... and by 2pm they were on my car.
I seriously meant nothing about your particular wheels.
