Question Goodyear F1 Supercar tires

Just wondering if anyone had feedback on these tires and how they compared to the OE Pilot sports in terms of grip, trameline tendancies, and wear.

i have GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 GS-D3 on a Lexus GS - and i'm very happy with the purchase - very good tires, stable cornering, excellent traction

i second chrissl's opinion

i've had them for about 2 months now

also, less road noise than the pilots and far better traction in the wet...

How about dry traction?

about the same as the pilots-maybe a bit better...and they're cheaper

Just a point of clarification - it is my understanding that the performance and other qualities of the GSD3 degrade unacceptably after a certain, too soon, amount of wear. I don't see that you two have had yours on for very long yet.....

Well for me it is between the OE pilot sports, PS2s and the F1 supercar.

PS2 is my favorite, but I do not know how well it wears and they are rather expensive.

F1 is a pick as it is cheap.

That said if a PS2 will last me a while and the F1s will not, I am going with PS2.

Be perfectly clear Auraraptor on the fact that the Goodyear F1 Supercar, F1 Fiorano, and the F1 GSD3 are three completely different tires -- and were produced/introduced in that order. The GSD3 being the latest manufacture and technology is the best of those three Goodyears.

I would recommend that you go with the PS2 as a proven tire/quantity, vs. the GSD3 as a still relatively unproven/unsure one....

I definately prefer the PS2 to the F1 Supercar - and I have had both tires on more than a few of my cars for some time now....

i have ~ 10k miles on the GSD3 and no problems so far - but i chose the PS2 for my SL for one simple reason - in 19" there is no 285/295 size ...

For sure, fitment can quickly become an issue -- that is the only reason that I still use the F1 Supercars and F1 Fioranos on a few of my cars....
