SL/R230: Here's the real deal guys...the new hotness being unloaded.
Did the sales manager inform the dealer that was expecting delivery of the incident and to carefully inspect the car???doubt it
I doubt any dealership would report an incident like this to a competing dealership, although I am sure they would report it directly to MBUSA.

How do you know RAB? You live all the way over in Flordia.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
What are the chances that the dealer is lying?
I am not familiar with auto brokers? Would an autobroker have access to the new SL's? What are the pros and cons? Is there warantee?
Sure, a lot of them will have deposits at dealers so they can get in on the big money game. Pro- they do the shopping for you to get the best deal by normally dealing with the Fleet/Internet depts of several dealerships. They save you the time of driving from dealer to dealer, but will charge a fee for this service. Con-you don't deal directly with a specific dealer, so you don't develop a relationship with anyone if things go wrong with the car or you need something that maybe a "good salesperson" would take care of for you!! Moral- If your time is worth more than most, it maybe a viable choice or if you are a famous person. The warranty would be the same if you bought the car from a dealer.
Can you say "lawsuit"???????????
just a wheel alignment job and the re-alignment of the exhaust system, because of excessively deep-throaty exhaust tone modulation, -- atypical of the SL500!!
Anyone notice also that the right wheelramp has completely fallen to the ground?

Everything was nice up till that thing showed!
