Always UP! I don't want to give anyone the chance to ruin my car. I don't even leave the sunroof open on my Highlander when I am parked for fear someone will throw something into my car and ruin the leather seats. For me, it is not worth taking the chance and the aggravation it can cause. They'll move onto a car in the parking lot with the top down or sunroof open instead of ruining my car.
