Does this fiber box makes any big difference on the HP of the engine??

vrus is working on a CF box for the 55 engines.
Vadim is working on a CF box for all the AMG engines.

I'm curious to see if they'll fit on the 600 engines.

vrus ordered the E55 CF airbox to see if it'll do the gains which it claims.

Just food for though.

RennTech says it will add 15 hp and 30 tq. Huge difference, no, but it is still looks incredible!

I can claim it adds 500hp and 500tq, that's a huge difference but it's still a claim.

Like I said, I'd wait for vrus' results to come out and then see if you want it or not. I'd rather pay 3k for a cf box that I knows makes power or doesn't make power than not knowing -- if that makes sense.

15 hp and 30 tq is not an outrageous claim. Sorry to dissapoint, but RennTech's word in performance tuning is worth more than yours.

Ricky, I just have faith in RennTech's tuning. Take a look at member RennTechV12's automobiles. One of is cars was producing 150 more tq than the RennTech upgrade initially claimed to add.

I don't have faith in anything, I like raw numbers and objective stats. Makes it a lot easier to decide on things

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying RENNtech is a bunch of liars and crooks, I'm saying I trust a chart with numbers a lot more than a website with some nicely rounded numbers.

I think that price is for the SL65 or SL600? I mean, if people can afford either of the two cars, they wouldn't care much about $6k...lol

If I'm remember correctly, the CF Airbox for normal SL500 cost around $3.3k.
