WHEEL DECISION: RADENERGIE silver diamond cut, RADENERGIE black, or CARLSSON 1/11 BE

just like the title says, which would you choose?

i had a misfortune in which the road company in my town had open a 2 ft wide and 3 inch deep trench in the street for construction. i ran over the trench and it bent all for of my RADENERGIE silver diamond cut wheels.

insurance is taking care of purchasing new wheels, but should i stick with the same silver diamond cut finish RADENERGIE, go with black RADENERGIE, or get CARLSSON 1/11 BE wheels.

help me decide:

here r pix of my ride with the regular RADENERGIE silver diamond cut wheels:

here are pix of the black RADENRGIE:

white sl with black wheels (to give an idea on the black and white theme)

here is a pic of the carlsson 1/11 BE

so what do you guys think?

The white SL's look insane with black rims....I would probably go Carlsson just to change it up though.

Black

I normally don't like the black rims, but they sure look great on a white SL.

Curious about the third brake light you installed on your SL, is there a difference in that light between the 2006 and 2007 model years?

The white and black combination with the polish lip is the way to go for you! You can only get away with certain colors with black or other color rims and white is one of them.

Im going to have to replace my third brake light and rear lights ASAP after seeing the pictures...does make the car look better!

Yes I meant a good insane....the hottest SL I have ever seen was a white SL65 slammed with limo tint and some kind of awesome black rims....it cam at me and I almost had to pull over to due a heart issue!!!!! That being said, I might get a different brand of black rim just to change things up, but those would look great and are awesome rims.

Personally, I liked the wheels that you originally had...sorry to hear about bending them!

When I look at the Carlsons I notice their lip is not as wide as the Radengerie's. Do you think the Radengerie's may not be as strong of a wheel do to the increased lip size / location of the hub in the wheel?

I liked the silver cut wheel in the first pic, however, the black wheels have an attitude ...i just dont know if i want that look 24/7............maybe if you tinted windows dark it would balance the black on the top and bottom of car.......either way those look smart

Go with your new choice, I think they look great. I have a white/Stone SL,
only color as far as I am concerned, and I went with 20" chrome SLR type, I need to post some photos on the photo thread.

johnny5, cy0811, EsEl, ROMEO550, mikefili - thanks for your replies. i just ordered a set of black RADENERGIES.

they should be on the car in two weeks.

i need to finish the look with a 2007 sl65 front bumper. then i will be satisfied with the car.

johnny5, i will take a pic of the rear 2007 sl55/65 taillights and 3rd brake light on my white sl for you 2nite.
