SL/R230: Sirius
Maybe it's me and not the radio, since I have not renewed Teleaid either after the initial free 12-month subscription expires, such as on my SLK, and whatever that similar system is called on my GMC SUV, along with the XM service that came with it.
The best audio-related feature on my SL is that it plays MP3 DVDs (600+ songs). It's commercial-free and I can listen all day long to my preferred music.
As I understand it, the MB implementation drops more often than that of other manufacturers. But with the ground repeaters, I have had nearly perfect service in NYC, and it goes out in predictable places. As small price to pay.
I like Sirius so much that I won't buy a vehicle that forces XM on the owner.
Now all I need is a Sirius receiver that will fit in my cycling jersey pocket for all the hours I spend doing that.

Imagine that, ifthey merged we'd probably get a radio someday that had 2 bands (Sirius and XM). Sort of like the way we have both AM and FM today. If that ever happens Jim Cramer expects Sirius stock to double from today's low price of about $ 4. Assuming he is correct, that could be enough fast profit to pay for a lifetime Sirius Subscription.
