Tele Aid Obsolete
Did anyone receive notice that the tele aid in your 2003 SL500 will be obsolete by December and if you want to change from analog to digital equipment to continue tele aid you need to pay for a $1,500.00 upgrade PLUS LABOR!
What kind of communication equipment can possible cost that much?
When I bought the car they sold me a Motorola phone for the car for $2G that was in stores at $400.
Any other options here?

As far as I am concerned they can keep the "digital equipment."
I have the analog phone system in both of my Mercedes, but I
do have the bluetooth adapter so they work fine. I also carry
two mobile phones with me (one personal, one work) so in the
event of an emergency I can use those.

2003 SL500
This really irks me in that it will still show as a malfunction on the dash when you have not subscribed to TeleAid. But now you can't without dropping another $1,500. Sounds like they should come up with a correction for the error message.
