sounds like it needs to be calibrated. Should be an easy fix.

Mine blows ice cold, only problem I have had was a funky
smell coming from the a/c. Took it to the dealer, and it
needed some foam flush/cleaning due to moisture in the
vents. Cost around $200. Dealer advised in high humidity
areas (central FL) to use the "rest" button when parking
the car to avoid the problem in the future. Apparently it
runs the fan to dry up the moisture in the lines. I have
been trying it for two days, I will let you know how it goes.

AC OFF Light on and won't go off

blasted my AC today and it never got cold...

Now when I hit the AC button it won't stay on.

Strange. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks-

Mike

Notice the "Rest" button in the center of the bottom line of the A/C controls.
The dealer informed me that after shutting off the car, to press that button,
and it leaves the fan on in the vehicle to circulate air.

Ya, thanks for that, yes i recall now reading something in the manual, said to use that for up to 30 minutes of heat after turning off motor, say you're waiting in the car for someone running an errand. Have not tried it yet, not sure if its called "rest" in my model, probably is i just didint pay attention. Your cars Command face is different than mine too, intetesting. And yes i can see how it might pay to run that especially in humid climate or older models, may reduce odor but my have other consequence, like moisturizing interior and glass. have to see.

By the way, any gatherings or track rentals planned for Benz cars this summer in Northwest USA? Love to see other cars and meet folks and run around a safe track without speed limits, really sucks ive got this car that can hit 155 and im afraid to go past 70!

just noticed, cant you get cup holders, you've got what looks like two blanks there under your display, were you aware some cars come equiped with push-out cup holders?

Id send out photos, got them in my digital cam but dont know how to get 'em out here, sorry

That is not my vehicle, its a photo I found on Ebay. Mine
would never be pictured that dirty. As for the Nav, that is
the one that came in 03-04 models. The cupholders are
the blanks under the nav. You push them, and out pops
a cupholder.

Out here in Cali, I always use the rest button when I park. And the cupholders come in handy late night. 2 under the navi, and a huge one by the passenger foot. Nice car Rajah!

Cool
I wondered what that "Rest" button was for.
Now I know. Will give it a try. Makes sense. Keeps the condensation
evaporated after you shut the car down....

My 05 takes a second to get cool. It seems to have mind of its own
as well. One minute its banging out cold air and then I hear it
change its venting a bit. But overall it nice and chilly.

I like taking it off of "Auto" and directing a nice cold blast on my legs
while the top is down.
