Get a 2005 SL600? E55 owner need some info

Hello people!
I test drove a 2005 SL600 today, such a powerful nice car. The car is so smooth and very torquey!

Anyone know of the current auction prices for a 2005 SL600 with AMG package? The dealer is asking 82k certified preowned...

I'm over in Canada so I can't help really with prices in the USA. I would like to know how the SL600 seems compared to your E55 Thanks.

The SL600 when doing kick down just pushes you towards your seat more compared to the E55. It does feel faster than the E55 when the turbos spool up. It doesnt have the instant power like the E55, but is just unbeatable when it is at around 3-4k RPM. You dont feel anything else other than getting pushed back into the seat. I dont know how to describe it, but the SL600 just feels better!

Rlee: yeah I want more power! hehe...turbos feel better than superchargers =D

The mileage on the SL600 is 24,xxx.
2005 with AMG package...I just noticed those cars are super mileage senstive in terms of resale...every 1000 miles you put down is at least 700$ depreciation.

if you do buy it, save enough for the Renntech ECU and TCU...

SL600 purchase price

Your timing is good. I purchased a 2005 SL600 with 15K miles for S76.000. It has no options and was both car fax certified and MB Certified. They were asking 84K. I would add or deduct around 50 cents a mile up or down from mine and about 40 Percent more for the new cost of options. I like car so far.Good luck to you.

09' Ferrari Scuderia 16M Spider, 11' Mercedes SL63 AMG, 09' Mercedes S550
As a pricing point of reference, I recently purchased an 05' SL600 for $79,000. It included the following:

1) 11,000 miles - like new condition
2) Full service history
3) Mercedes 7 year, 100,000 mile extended warranty
4) Black interior/exterior
5) AMG sport package
6) Keyless Go
7) Luggage (behind the seats)

Car Whore
hopefully its not to late, but an SL600 with 24,xxx miles is way overpriced at $82k... i wouldnt go above $75k...

dealer trade in, they would give you MAYBE $65k for it... lower priced, good quality SL600's are all over the place because of the soft market... dont waste your money.
