2008 shortened model year for the SL???
Are they releasing the 2009's early shortening the model year for the 2008's and the number sold?

My guess is that the '09 comes out early, possibly the spring.

I agree, possibly by May. You'll probably be able to pick up an 08 in a few weeks for $25k below sticker.

After the ugly 2009's hit the show room you will be paying sticker and above for the 2008's that are left over.
You are dreaming....as much as the new SL is ugly, the fact is it will be a new model and the old ones will drop in price. That is the way it works.

It's already working that way. Now that the word is out about the facelift, dealers are getting very motivated to get rid of 08's.
