Well I found an awesome deal on a once $300K car for $86K on ebay. Kleeman stage 3, 610Hp 618 Torque. What do you guys think of the price? Very hard to get a value, I based it on a SL55 with 22K miles and the K3 Kleeman options. I think I got a deal and got the fisker carbon fiber body for free. I know I could have got a stock SL65 for the same price or cheaper but the fisker looks way better and the interior is all leather. Any thoughts from you experts?

Its a sick deal at that price, not to mention that it wont look dated (in comparison to a normal body R230), is very unique and of course is a straight beast.

 

Ive been getting worried by what the mercedes dealer tells me. He thinks it may be worth less than a regular SL55. But he may be mad that Im not buying his SL55. The other thing that sucks is that the warranty is voided because of the Kleeman engine. But is is sweet! Maybe I can get a warranty through someone else?

Very nice. I love the look. Don't worry about what the dealer says. They'll always tell you you paid too much if you didn't buy it from them...which would be paying too much as well. As long as you are comfortable with what you paid and love the car (which you should), it's all good! Congrats!

 

Yeah Im excited to go pick it up. I hope its as fast or feels as fast as my Z06. With more horsepower than my Z06, one would think its as fast and much better to drive everyday.

So a $300,000 car in 2005 costs around $80k in 2008...... $220k depreciation in 3 years, that's gotta be some kind of record.

 

Actually, not $80k, $76.6k.

The car just sold on Ebay. I was part of the bidding, but I just got real skiddish about spending 70k, sight unseen, and no warranty.

I'm sure it's a great car, though. It looks phenomenal...
