What car next after SL600?

My lease on my SL600 Renntech comes to an end in about 9 months, and i am debating what care to get next:

1. 2009 SL 600 - will the SL class be replaced by the SLC in 2011, or will the SLC be a separate model all together? - i have gotten mixed messages from my MB dealership in town, saying that the SL 2009 is merely a facelifted version and there will be a new version in 2011 - it's unclear whether that's the SLC or something else

other cars i am considering then: Aston Martin DB9, Bentley continental GT.

I realize these are all completely different, but just wondering what everyone's thoughts are....

thanks

So many choices, though few (if any) with the combination of power, luxury and good looks of a pre-2009 Renntech SL600. The DB9 is a fine choice and the Audi R8 is tempting. The new Ferrari California with the folding hardtop looks hard to beat, but it is unlikely to be available within the next 9 months.

Have you considered an SL63? That or the R8 mentioned above are both some very good current options.

According to my dealer the R8 is sold out for 2 years. Unless you are willing to pay $50K markup over MSRP.

I am considering the exact same set of cars, if you take a look at my thread. I have come to the conclusion that the DB9 or DBS would be the best car to get. I mean we have already had SLs, and its not that much different, and the GT is getting OLD. Get the Aston!

Yikes. Given that stipulation, it would be better off to climb into a Gallardo. The SL is a great car all around, but if one has the means, why not try something a bit edgier.

Yeah, i think as of now, i'm leaning toward the DB9 and you're right, we've all had the SL, so time to try something new. What about the SLC?

I am looking forward to the SLC, but I am sure that it won't be available within 9 months!

I am not a big fan of the facelifted SL and can't wait to see what the next generation will bring, but I can't imagine the SLC will be available before 2011 (as a 2012 model year).
