Looking for a new toy...

I recently sold one of my investment rental properties in Palm Beach FL and sitting on some cash. Thinking about getting a toy to use once in awhile. Was thinking about getting a new SL550, but wondering if getting such a luxurious car will be satisfactory for me. Also considering a Porsche 911, maybe Carrera 2 or another 69 Camaro, but a vert this time. Only problem with the Camaro is I worry about reliability issues as well. But I've had a couple so far and it's one of my favorite cars Anyother suggestions?

It all depends on what YOU like. I have a number of cars... from hard core exotics to the SL55, and I love them all. The SL is a great all around car, and it keeps a relatively low profile. I would suggest an AMG version as they are really set up for a bit more driving fun...... and of course a little Veloce Performance tuning!

I can't go with an SL AMG or 997 Turbo. I don't want to go over $100k as I have recently gotten engaged and do have a wedding to plan. Long Island weddings aren't cheap. I'd rather elope and get a friggin Gallardo

Damn, you have quite the list of dream cars! Awesome man! Let me ask you, what would you think about a F355 vert? Still one of my favorite Ferrari's and the cost has come down a bit. Can get a nice one with fairly low mileage for under $100k.

that red one
Here's a list of fun toy cars that might be of interest:

Lotus Elise or Exige
Dodge Viper
Corvette ZO6 or ZR-1 (can't touch for under 100k though)
Audi R8 (over 100k too)
Challenger

Have fun!

Sounds like it won't be a daily driver. I'd suggest a certified preowned SL55- let someone else take the big depreciation hit, and you'll have money to spare when the new model comes out in a couple of years.
