2004 SL600
Dumb Question, Amg owners
I have a r230 SL600. I am looking to add the amg package to my car. I was thinking of shaving off one of the 0s off and adding the AMG badge. I know they had an r129 SL60 AMG. Your thoughts please?

you bought an sl 600
keep the title of your car.
you shouldn't add an amg badge
no matter what "package" you purchase
or you can and get bagged on by
everyone on this forum. It'll also do nothing
but cause actual ///AMG owner to have a good laugh.

FWIW...Your car is already a formidable ride...just get the AMG package if you want and don't badge any differently.

My SL600 came from the factory with the AMG sport package and of course, no AMG badge. Why? Because it's not an AMG. The engine was not hand assembled by one AMG engineer. It was mass produced by Mercedes-Benz on an assembly line, just like yours. It also does not have the AMG tuned transmission nor does it have the AMG tuned suspension. So, no matter what bumpers you put on it, it's still an SL600 and not worthy of the AMG moniker.
I do, however, have a V12Biturbo badge on my trunk. Because, well, it has one of those. Last time I checked.
