I am looking for the 3rd brake light for SL500 2003. I am looking online but I can't seem to find anywhere to purchase this light. Anyone knows a website where this can be purchased? Dealership is asking 350$ to install a new one and I don't want to give that much.

Are you looking for the red one or the one from the Sl55 (smoked one)? Both can be purchased from parts.com for quite a bit less than dealer prices. If looking for the red one I may have one laying around when I installed the smoked one, but I think the weatherstripping gasket would need replacing, That is if I can even find it.

I am looking for a red one. I went to that website parts.com but I was unable to find the 3rd brake light, only left and right ones. If you still have that one , would be able to sell it to me? Its very hard to find these lights online it seems.

Listed as high mount tail lamp 202.00 list, your cost is like 113 or 115 cant remember now plus shipping. Mine is off 2007, assume there all the same but dont know for sure. Maybe someone on this forum knows? Mine needs weatherstrip piece and dont know how difficult to source that but would probably sell it for like 65.00 shipped.

I did replace the 3rd light on my SL months ago, it did came with a weathersrtrip.
It shoould be the same part number for the 2007, just make shure if you want the red or smoke lens.

Hi All, I am looking for a red 3rd brake light, for a 2007 Sl500. If anyone who has replaced theirs for a smoked one or has one with a broken lens but all of the LEDs work, let me know! I am in the UK.

I have a new seal so that's not a problem.

I too need a red third brake light for 2003 500SL mine is cracked but working properly, anyone have one that I can use the red plastic not even sure if that is possible
