I would get brushed aluminum face, with black accent window, and chrome lip. Staggered of course, with deeeeeeeep lip in the rear. Exactly like this picture:

how big? Anything over 19" or 20 inch looks wrong on an SL imho. I prefer the first rims pictured by a long way, though the second set may look okay when not chromed

Yeah, I hate chrome. Yuck.

They're gonna be 20". I'm not a big wheel guy either, but it seems 20" is really the size that looks best on these cars. I'd prefer 18" or 19" but choices are limited for the SL in those sizes. Plus the SL is one of the few cars blessed with the ability to run an 11" wheel out back. 20X11 seems to be the preferred size with a 305/25/20 tire.

But yeah, hell no on the chrome.
