AMG brakes on a 2007 SL550/AMG sport

This has been asked a hundred times and I've search probably every thread and still no definitive answer. What does it take to retrofit Sl55 brakes to a non amg car. I'm not talking 030 brakes just the 360mm front and 330 rears. I saw picture of Erichen? car SL500 with sl55 brakes so someone has done it. Most of the threads say there in the process of doing it but then there's never any outcome. I assume (big mistake) that the caliper mounting points are different or bigger so probably new steering Knuckles and the rears does that mean new hub carriers. I know Brembo has GT kit and may go that route but i got to believe all Brembo calipers are the same basically and not model specific, it just comes down to mounting bracket being model specific. What does every one think?
Thanks for any and all responsesSince AMG brakes are made by Brembo and the caliper is separate from the mounting bracket on the front anyway, what about a mounting bracket from a Brembo kit for a Sl550 (would they even sell just the mounting bracket?) and bolt that to the Sl55 caliper and then mounting that to the steering knuckle.
Mike

I'm assuming you can get around the spacer issue with the right offsets or backspacing on the wheels. I'm more interested in what it took to get the calipers to work. Are we talking different steering knuckles on the front and what about the back? I understand the money part, nothing on these cars is cheap. Looking for all and any info.
Thanks
Mike

Ok do U have any email ? i'll send u a pic basically U don't have to change the steering knuckle but U also need a set of braided brake hose to support your new caliper, cause the standard hose will expand when u push really hard. What type of AMG Caliper and brake do U have right now ?
