SL/R230 LOCKED OUT OF MY 2005 SL.

LOCKED OUT OF MY 2005 SL.

Keyless-Go and skeleton key wont open anything, and the door morros don`t flash. How do I access the trunk to charge or replace the dead 2nd battery, which is probably the root of this problem,right??

Your "skeleton" key can open the trunk. Look near the handle and you will see the key hole.

The metal key in your key fob should open drivers side door also.

Thanks .but...the metal key,when inserted to either the door or the trunk will not even turn. Ive tried inserting the key several times,both ways, (switching it upide down) and there was nothing....the key will not turn inside the lock.

Did you ever try key before this happened? On my 03, it works. Is the skeleton key the right one for your car? I would try some lock oil to see if you can jar the mechanism loose or else call MB to unlock your car.

Thanks again....I had never tried to use the metal key prior to this problem so it may well be a bad or non-matching key for the car. I`ve called MB dealership in Fort Lauderdale for help,hopefully they can send someone to access and replace the battery.

sorry if this is something you already tried, but do you have a second key with skeleton key to try? It sounds like the dealership inserted the wrong skeleton key in your primary, but may not have in the second key.
