rough idle after shutting off car too soon after start

hope someone can help me with this.

i used my keyless go to start my car and then before it was fully running i hit the button again because of an external noise

now when i start it it has a terrible rough idle and can obviously not be driven like this. i disconnected the battery in the trunk and also turned the wheel back and forth with the car running, but no luck.

any ideas? i have an appt i have to get to asap.

thanks!

Best thing to do at this point is call your local MB service department and explain the problem to a service advisor and ask if there is a quick fix. Unfortunately, if a module or program needs to be reset, you may have to take the car in or call Roadside Assistance. TwinCam

UPDATE: I started it up this morning and it is still missing like crazy, but it is running smoother than yesterday. still not drivable, i wouldn't be taking it in until monday anyway, so i guess i'll try it later. yesterday i also found that my trunk battery was down to about 8% charge, so i threw the charger on it. we'll see.

If your battery is low, the onboard computer will go into conservative mode and shut down items it deems unnecessary, however, this should not affect ignition. Try to charge up your battery before you bring it to the dealer. It would be considerably cheaper if it was just a battery that needed to be replaced.

My two cents.

ends up a vacuum plug popped out of the manifold. i'm guessing that the premature shutdown created some sort of back pressure and shot it out? whatever.

it was running like there was a vacuum leak, but with the way it started, i was assuming it was computer related.

anyway, $250 to repair.

if anyone has this issue, heck for a plug. it's probably sitting right there for you to push back it.
