on my 2007 C class when you press lock on the fob, the car lights flash 3 times and there are 3 beeps confirming it is armed and locked.


on my 2005 i just puchased, it only flashes lights 3 times, no 3 beeps. Is this a on/off feauture? or is it only one on newer cars?

mines an 03 and does lights/sound..

.but that was after they replaced many electrical things )siren, sams, eis)as it never did b4..not sure what they did, MB had it 2mo..it was all part of a batt drain issue.

I have an 03 and my lights flash three times only. I do not hear an audible telling me that the system is armed. I have used the panic button in the past just to hear if it works and it does. I also had intentionally tripped the alarm to verify its functionality.

So, I am perplexed, should we hear an audible or not?

Yes, I believe so. My car was not working properly. Now after they fixed everything it had the beeps.

My '05 does not make a sound, just 3 flashes of the lights.

You need SDS to enable the beeps. I got mine done last week.

Apparently, the dealer replaced a module in my S430 after water leaked in it and since, it beeped. My 2006 doesn't beep though.
