Cigarette Lighter Not Working - Help Please ?.
Hi all

As per the title my cigarette lighter doesnt seem to work in the ash tray compartment. It doesnt have the actual cigarette lighter in there when i open the flap and im not bothered about that as i want it to power the tyre inflation compressor stored in the spare wheel.

When i plug the unit in and turn the key to pos 1 as per the instructions nothing happens when i press the on button for the compessor. I tried a non MB compressor and got the same result yet these items work in my brothers none MB car. The plug almost feels too tight and despite my best efforts im wondering if its not seating correctly.

Has anyone ever experienced this and if so what can i do to test the lighter system for power / fix the problem ?.

No i havent, where will the fuse box be for the SL ?. Am i right in thinking there is more than 1 ?.

Dunno where the fuses are on the SL. Check your owner's manual.

It was the fuse.

Thanks for the help with the problem.

If only all fixes were that simple
