'09 SL600 + missing iPod connection
Gents:
Looking at getting this car but it doesn't have any connection in the glove box or console. Since other '09 SL's have an iPod connection, I assume this can be added fairly easily through the dealer?
Thanks.

iPod
Two years ago European delivery of 2009 SL550. There was no iPod cable that came with the car. When it arrived in California an iPod cable was installed in the center console at the delivery center in Long Beach. Your dealer should have this available in the U.S., no problem, and it simply plugs into a socket at the front end of the center armrest console (inside). You can also purchse an iPod felt "holder" that sits in the console. iPod works fine and the M-B logo comes up on its screen. Sound is great. Good luck, you'll love this car.

MCW:
Great info and link to COMAND. They were extremely prompt and useful and, fyi, all that's needed is an inexpensive cable to connect between the iPod and the media interface in the console.
Thanks very much.
