The spoiler is made of FRP (Fiberglass) material. The fitment and the paint quality are just great!! Will come with the tape.

How do you center it to ensure the exact placement on the trunk lid? Before I order, can you please be certain that it will fit on the new body stlye 2009 SL550?

Yeah, it will fit. Your car is R230 facelift. The rear is same as pre-facelift.
