SL/R230 Fluid leak at the back of the SL

Fluid leak at the back of the SL

I have found some little drops of an oil like substance in my garage floor. When I check the underside of my car it looks like it's come from the left rear wheel A-arm. Is there any type of fluid in this area?

Most likely the dreaded "ABC Visit Workshop" error message.

Glad to hear you are covered under warranty. Consider yourself lucky it happened now.

My 2003 SL500 Sport's ABC failed AFTER the warranty expired and the cost for the MB Dealer fix was shockingly expensive.

(Over $4K).

I paid 1800 for one shock and 3600 on a new pump on my 2006 Sl600.

I thought the bill was a mortgage payment.

had my shock go out....was pretty upset, overall not impressed with the build quality of my SL, but just driving it up the street a mile seams to make it all better....v12 tq is addictive

Warranty is covering the shock replacement. I'm going to put it up for sale when I get it back. The warranty has been great so far, it's got 2 years left.
