SL/R230: Help, what does MB officially call this color?

Help, what does MB officially call this color?
Too light to be obsidian or black opal. Did MB ever make the SL in tectite? If so, is it discontinued? Don't think it's a graphite designo due to the interior color.

Tectite grey was an option on the early build R230's.. i've seen a few tectites on ebay.
HOWEVER, it was later removed.... and repackaged as Designo Graphite.
Oh yea, can't forget the additional $10k pricetag.
As a business person, its a smart move.. as an enthusiast, i'm offended. If C classes can get tectite, why cant an SL???

Yep, that is definately Tectite and I, too am very disappointed that MBZ discontinued this color for the R230. Also, I can not justify the extra $10k for a color that should be in the standard palate on such a great car.

any chance of doing a european delivery deal to bring a tectite over to the states. the designo deal is a waste, but probably just as pricey as euro delivery

I find all of the designo colors attractive, but do not think I will choose the option because of the price. Tectite and designo graphite are dissimilar enough that M-B should have kept the tectite as a color choice for the R230.
