Is SL500 is a sporty car?

Thinking of ordering SL500 04 with 7 speed, didn't have a chance of driving one....so tell me is it kind of sporty car? I test drove E500 and i can tell you that was one beasty car....so i wonder is sl500 also that fast? E500 had little body roll how about SL?

Can anyone give me a bit of review? + and - of the car?

i have a sl500 with sport package.
its definatly a sporty car. its got it speed too.
the great thing about it is that its got SUV curb wieght. so when your making a turn, the car does not feel like its tilting, its fimrly against the ground and moves nicely.
ive had mine since february and have about 900 miles on it. once i break the thousand...away i go!
ps. many +'s to the car. no -'s yet.

Great! Because i was choosing from 3 cars E55 04, e500 04, or sl500, and i think i will go with SL500 it has class, cabrio - hard top coolest thing ever mercedes did! E55 yes it's fast But Here in Canada you won't go far speedwise....e500 nice car for a city but i don't need 4 seater (YET) so i think i will go with 04 sl500....

Also SL's will never get old....I see SL's 1993 1995 and they look just lovely after 10 years...so i can surely pimp in Sl for at least 7 years and people will look at the car and say nice car... SL

ANOTHER question, Who has driven SL500 in winter how does it feel in a snow with winter mode? I driven S class with winter mode had no problems at all....how about SL?

If your looking for speed, but you said you weren't, the SL55 is the way to go. If you want the drop top gorgeous cruiser, the 500 is amazing and fits the bill perfectly.

We have some 11,000 miles and it's been a dream and still is!

yea, even tho the sl has only 302hp, i say its a damn sporty car, i mean good torque and everything, no negatives about the car, and a whole lotta positives, but if ur in the mood for speed go for the sl55, but otherwise go with the sl500!

To answer part of your question, Our SL with the Active Body Control (ABC) enabled has zero body roll.
