Should get more pictures tomorrow.
For anyone in Arizona. There will be approximately 40 SL's at the Phoenician Tommorrow (2-27-02). Supposedly some more testing, my salesman says. Anyways they should be there until 1:00 in the afternoon. I will go up and get some more pictures, they should be outside this time.

I envy your relationship with your salesman. My guy here does not know anything about the SL and I mean anything.
I hope you get some shots of a black SL. All I see are Silver and other colours that I cannot identify :-). All I can do is look at the 1:18 scale model I have in black and imagine what the car would look like. There are some pic's of the car in black on the MBNZ Galleries but those are not that good.
Anywhoo, looking forward to your Pic's.

My dealer is in Phoenix now for MB meetings the 27th and 28th. Each dealer gets a one hour test drive in a new SL. He will call me with a report and e-mail photos. I will post any useful info.

I went up to the Phoenician today. The SL's are there, but they were not letting anyone take photos. They said I could come back tomorrow to get some shots. They were under covered parking but should be outside tomorrow. Didn't get to see them all but they had a nice blue that I hadn't seen before. They were also setting up a show in one of the ballrooms for the unveiling. I will report back tomorrow hopefully with some good pictures.

Yep, the silver looks better than the black...I guess I have to see one in person to decide ( a highly unlikely prospect ). However I am concerned with the market flooding with Silver SL's.
Hopefully Nathan should have some photos of different colours.

My dealer just called me from Phoenix on his cell phone. He was cruising in a new SL with the top down. It's 85 degrees. OK I'm jealous! He thinks the car has plenty of power and he said there is no wind buffeting even at freeway speeds. I'm waiting for a full report this evening. He said the Red is absolutely stunning. He also liked the medium blue. I imagine he is talking about the Orion Blue. He said he the Black was "OK", but not great. The LE looked great and he said the LE interior is a big upgrade from the standard interior. He said the wood trim steering wheel shift knob option is a must.
