'03 SL500 pricing

I just helped unload three brand new SL500 off the delivery truck at the dealer where I work. The base price is $85,990 plus dest. & $1300 gas gussler tax. Also the launch edition is better looking than I had originally expected!

My dealer is at the Los Angeles VPC today. He said there are truck loads of new SL's rolling out of there today. He said it is a beautiful site! The window sticker on the LE's shows $9,500 additional charge for the LE.

SL55 info.

Unfortunatly, the only info. I have on the SL55 is what I have read in magazines. I know that they are going to step up the production numbers that where mentioned. MBZ is expected to build around 4000 for the entire world, other than that I am clueless myself. I will definatly post any info. I get as soon as I know. All I am sure of, is that this car will be a bench mark in Mercedes history!

SL500 LE

I was a little scared of the color & what it would look like on the car, but I think it will be a hugh hit with everyone. The sticker on the LE that I saw was $97,455. The package includes Bi-Xenon headlights, the Wood trimmed steering wheel and gear shift knob,
multicontour and active-ventilated seats and high polished 18" 5-star alloy wheels. Very nice!

I'm hearing ~ 100K for the SL55. My buddy is twisting my arm to order one....Never owned a convertible. I'm leaning toward a CL variant with that sweet motor. Hmmmm.

Thanks for your input.

What other options does this LE have built in? Like keyless go, glass roof, sport pack, comfort seats.

What color silver is this most like in the benz line?

SL55 availability

We just unloaded a couple of Launch Edition cars at our dealership today. WOW! I think need one!

Regarding the SL55, at our training session for the SL recently we were told that the SL55s will be out by the end of the year.
469 HP/ 512 FtLbs. You gotta love it! I expect pricing to be about
$125K

Launch Edition

The color is called Designo Silver, the same color that is available on the S-class. The interior color is Charcoal & that is the only way it comes from the factory. The comfort seats are standard, but Keyless Go and the glass roof are not included, you can't even get it with those options!

Good Luck to all those in line for this fabulous automobile!

SL55 pricing

I only wish they had a 55AMG at the training, but I expect the pricing to be in the $115k range.

Any word on the SL600? Will there still be a market for that car?

Honestly, I can't remember. I think it has the standard Burl Walnut trim, but do not hold me to that, it might be the Black Maple.

MarcusBenz or anybody

I would appreciate you posting the option pricing list on the new SL.

Thanks for all your up to date information. You SL 55 folks must be gripping hard right now, it is bad enough on the 500.

If they can sell the SL55 for 100K I will be amazed.

I can't imagine an AMG version for $10K more than the regular car.
On the CLK55 and E55 etc. the "AMG" adds about $20K.
I geuss we will have to sit tight and see.
I have to say it again. 469 hp/ 512 Ftlbs. Double WOW!

SL55 pricing

I also find it hard to believe that the SL55 will be around $100K.

I did the conversion from the european price list, and the SL500 was around $83K (here, going for $86K--maybe we get a couple of extra options tossed in that the Europeans pay for??).

The SL55 conversion came out to around $110K (I think it was 126K euros), so I figured that it might be a little more expensive than that here...maybe $115k??

I hope and pray for $100k though!!

Thumbs up MarcusBenz

Thank you very much. You have been very helpful, one more question, what is the MBZ sticker price for the LE SL?
