KLEEMANN USA inc would convert your SL500 to the specs shown on the white SL500 for $35,000- exclusive of transportation.
If you havent already got a 2003 SL500 ordered they are difficult to come by- I have found a few but the dealers are charging a premium for them- usually $10k over sticker for the privilage.

The engine upgrade with KLEEMANN kompressor alone would be $16,995 plus installation, usually about $1800. Grand total of $18,795. Approx 510 hp, 505 lbs/ft.

I would expect it to outperform the SL55 due to the additional power that it would have. But I'm sure Kleemann will come out with a nice upgrade to the SL55 in order allow it to stay on top

This is an awesome looking SL500.
But IMHO, Kleeman under the hood, pink supercharger looks like crap. And the Kleemann sills on their CL on their website look ridiculous --- Like they should be on a Mary-Kay Caddy! Compared to the beauty of the AMG-grey engine components, Kleeman's pink blower looks like bolted on, cheap, junk. I know it is not, but the pink...is tacky. I would be embarassed to open the hood because it looks cheap and stands out so much that it is wierdly out of place in the MB engine box. Like a Pontiac Firebird in a garage full of Porsches. My opinion.

The color purple/pink-
The purple color is a goner- bye bye. The engine covers are all now silver grey with black logos as are all the other items like brakes, sills etc.
The purple/pink is quite popular in Asia so it will carry on where it is accepted.
