Ordered SL63 EVZPORT rear diffuser (2pc) need help to buy SL63 rear bumper
Just ordered the REVZPORT 2 piece rear sl63 diffuser.
Going to need to buy an SL63 bumper, any help would be appreciated?
Also I read somewhere that I "may" have to extend the tips. Anyone know if there is any truth to that?
Will keep everyone posted on REVZPORT experience.
only updates now is that they are obviously overseas, and respond once a day in the middle of the night Eastern/Central standard time.
Nonetheless, the order is in and paid for. Asked how long before item is shipped. Assuming I will get a reply tonight at 4am.
thanks in advance.

there are a few on ebay, but I think I talked with my mb store in my dealer group and the cost on a new bumper wasn't that bad, I think 650-750.

After I paid the communication is stagnant. Have been trying to get an answer of how long before this ships. Can't do it. I'm getting cryptive messages. About procurement and manufacturing. Can't decipher it.
Lets see what happens.

Heard back today at 4am CST (which is kind of the norm thus far). 2-3 weeks before it ships out, so its a waiting game for couple of weeks. Give's me time to source a bumper.

I paid these guys April 2nd, communication was good at the beginning when deal was going down (response would come back in the middle of the night, but whatever). Once paid, it was not as efficient. Finally i got some bullsh8t reply about production and procurement saying takes 2-3 weeks to make. Fair enough. Is been now almost 4 weeks, have sent 2-3 emails to Ken (their sales guy) and havent heard back. I will keep everyone posted on this. Have also read horror stories from others of the product arriving inadequately packed and its broken. Cannot speak to that yet.
In hindsight, if someone one North America had it in stock would have paid a 10-15% premium for it than dealing with this sh8t.

Hi Steve
Sorry for the late reply. I don’t know when you last email but I think I must have overlooked your email.
Titus,
Do we have a delivery for Mr. Anton? Our ref: 13-***
Thanks,

Lets see what happens this week. No way these guys **** me out of money. That I can assure you. Will keep everyone posted. This ultimately hit my Amex in terms of payment. So would have no issues getting my money back whatsoever

I received two Hong Kong post tracking numbers overnight, however they arent working yet as apparently its Labour Day in China. Wouldnt think they would celebrate that there, but anyhow. Will see what happens from this point. Hopefully they protect the parts better since Ricks SL55's experience a few years back.

Can someone confirm that I need a 2009-2011 SL63 rear bumper for my 2003 SL55 to make this work. Just got off the phone wiht the dealership and the guy was adamant that I need an SL63 rear bumper wont bolt onto a 2003 SL55. I tried to explain to him what I am doing and that I am not the first person to do this, long story. Can someone please confirm the above.

lol your dealership guy is crazy. I have an OEM SL63 rear bumper on my car with OEM SL63 diffuser. No modifications to make it fit except for the middle bumper absorber.

It does impress me how little certain people in a dealership know about these cars. I had a 10 minute conversation trying to explain my car having an intercooler pump...

Same build
Please share part numbers, etc
I'm doing the same rear bumper (SL55 to SL63) conversion.
Already have the Revozport diffuser. got it last year. It was $1500.
Also dealt with Ken. I had no issues at all. Came in perfect in roughly 3 weeks.
My understanding is that I just need an SL63 rear bumper for my SL55.
part number A23088535259999 (roughly 1K)
also an energy absorbing unit A2308851465 ($130 or so)
I was told that most of the other connectors and rear bumper parts are plug and play between the SL55 and SL63.
Please advise if that is not the case and if anything else is needed.
what do you guys mean "extend the tips slightly"......is this something that the body shop will be able to easily do?
thanks

Any muffler shop could do it. With the new diffuser the stock muffler tips will sit more inside, and will need to come "out" a bit.
