Few hood pictures...
Here you can see both holes which I have cut out and install the same grid I use at the front pumper and fenders.
I left a low edge so the water don't drop at the engine room.
I'm gone drill two small holes at each lowest corner and instal a small pipeline where the water can run down.

If I pay something I want to now what I pay for. They only answer you "they have made a hard work to find out and measure the offset.... so it's theirs secret"....

So I decide to measure all myself and tell everyone what they can use....
Now the wheel dealers have not any secrets anymore.....

So now I'm very happy to tell everyone what specs I have.
Front . 10*20" ET-4.
Rear . 12,5 * 20" ET-18

Tires front 265*30 * 20"
Tires rear 325*25 * 20"

I have not test fit the front yet because I have not the tires but It's very close with the fender line.... May be to close... so ET 0 at the front would be the best choise.....

At friday I can put the whole car down and after that I can be sure if the offset are right or not... But it's look very good so far.....
Finaly I can tell you that this offsets is perfect!!! ET-4 front and -18 at the rear. It's not rub at al.
I think I can use -7 at the front and -20 at the rear if I want more flush fitment.

Finally better pictures.....
I love those wheels...
Excelent service from Brandon ( Modulare wheels!!!)
I now what I'm talking about because I have bought several brands of wheels from USA.
So far Modulare wheels has been by far the best of all of these others. No lies. Delivery time was what they promise.Price was good.Quality so far the best I have ever bought.Kindly and nice service from Brandon.
vs-
- Rennen forged (big / long fights with the warranty (chrome blow out) and when they send me new lips after 2-3 months the new lips was very dirty.+ the don't return the freight costs even promised to pay )

- Savini wheels. Lie to me from the beginning. They don't send me the wheels what I paid for. Wrong offset.

- Iconz wheels. Was true night mare. Rob me approx 1000 dollars. Delivery time was 7-8 months. Lot of lies from the beginning and their wheel lips also blow out. No warranty. The lips was from Rennen forged.

Al this is true what I have write and this al is my experience.

Here is the link and I hope you like them...

Car came out great Juha. My facelift is pretty much finished also except for the headlights lol. I tried out the wiring configuration you gave me and there are a couple things wrong, like the low beam turning on when the switch is turned to "off" and the city lights don't turn on at all. I gotta figure out where the leveling plugs go as well.

Will definitely be a great

Sorry to heard that....
I think EU and USA versions have some differences. At my car everything work great... only the leveling don't work.
I'm gone install the upgrade wires when I have time to do it.

My car is at the paint shop now... I'm gone hone the clear coat matt and clear coat it again..... I don't want any holograms at the paint.

I think you are right about the EU and US differences. I am most likely going to put the original plugs back on and buy the kabeldaviko kit from Germany. The only problem now is that I don't know where the wires go now on the old plug.

Before I bought my kit I asked if the wire kit fit USA cars and they answer me it's don't fit. Therefore I now our car have some differences at our lights and how they work.
Ask before you buy it... I paid nearly 200 Eur for that wires.

Hey Juha, thanks for the heads up, but OverZealous (US member) who has the Misha widebody build is running the same kit and says it works fine for him. I'm gonna send the car to my electrician this week, and see if he can figure out where each pin goes exactly on the headlight plug. If he can't figure it out I will just buy the kabeldaviko harness.

Juha! Your wiring diagram was right the whole time. The mistake was on my end due to the "low beam always on" function in the on board computer. The only thing that doesn't work is the small city light which I don't really care for as I have LED DRL's in place of my fog light. Thanks again, you saved me lots of time. Just gotta figure out where the auto leveling plugs go now!

My Savini experience.... bad vendor
Savini is utter garbage. There wheels are bend like butter. There not hub centric like advertised (in the end they had to drill them out and fit hub rings in them that still didnt fit correctly), the paint is flaking off in big chips, all the chrome bolts are rusting. Two weeks after getting the wheels i went to my shop to swap the tires and the chrome on the inside of one of the wheels was bubbling and pitting. Called savini and they said wasnt there issue, the shop that installed the wheels didnt know what they were doing and had water in the air lines and they werent going to warranty the wheel until the shop (who is an authorized savini dealer) called them and set them straight. Once they found out it was one of there authorized dealers then they back tracked and rechromed the wheel.

But the best part is when i spoke to the GM at savini prior to buying the wheels he said "were owned by tire rack. we stand behind our product. were not worried about a few bucks to make things right."

While I wont ever get my money back from them I tell everyone who asks about my wheels and who makes them "There made by savini but there the biggest pieces of garbage money can buy." I now for a fact i have dissuaded at least a half dozen guys from buying there products. Just think how many more people i can preach to over the rest of my life.

Sorry to heard that....
I'm so ANGRY at these wheel companies.... they have no responsibilities....
Only thing we can do and hurt them someway is write every where what they do and what they don't do.
Nice words and they promise everything before the deal and when something happen they step of!!!!
Same happen to me with :
- Iconz wheels ( TheModcity )
- Rennen wheels ( Chrome blow out )
- Savini wheels.... Lie to me from the first beginning and so on.
- Modular wheels...???? lets see if they return my freight costs what they have promise to do... I paid two freight costs.

I hope everyone who read these threads stay out from this kind of wheel companies. I want only warning another customers so they don't do same mistakes I have done and so on.... and show everyone what can happen and how they take care of you when something happen....

I have lost thousands of dollars!!!!!
We motorists can only join hands together and put these sellers boycott.

Regards
Juha

R230 ABC cars has no auto leveling headlamps !!

Have a look in WIS document GF82.10-P-2104-02R
Stating that ABC equipped cars has no headlamp range adjustment because the vehicle level is continuously adjusted.

Hope that made things easier guys..

Its also the law here in Denmark, But not for cars with auto leveling suspension,

Bring the WIS document to the inspection, its pretty clear..

My friend have start to install this new wiring kit at his SL55AMG ( 2002) .... Now we now the small plug with two wirings at the OEM wiring is for the auto leveling.
We try to find out if we can install this two wires at the new plug so the leveling would start to work.
We also now that this car don't have the CAN "channel" so we try to find out if we can get reverse lights work another way....

If we do not get these to work the best solution is what I have done.
Otherwise It's needless to buy that wiring kit.

Great project, love the level of detail gone into it. Was your first facelift sl63 kit (non wide body) from prior design too? I can only find the wide body sl63 facelift kit on their site. Really want to facelift mine as well.

Send an e-mail to MAD-Exclusive-Cardesign@gmx.de and ska for Markus I'm sure he can help you. He can speak english.

I have install the Speedriven scorpion intakes and bigger coolers.
I'm waiting after the new tune from Speedriven by e-mail and I don't like this at all.... I think I have wait nearly 10 days now.. and it's too long time.
Marcin have answer me only one time after I send me own file from the car and he promise return it as soon as possible.
I have not so many weeks anymore to use the car.... the winter is out side the door.
