2005 SL500
Just installed this in my R230 2005 SL500. Works as advertised, and is a "wower" at the restaurants, etc.

Installation instructions are good, but not perfect. This is not for the timid. I ended up having to take out and reinstall the rear passenger seat cargo box to get this done. Not fun!
Will be happy to advise anyone who wants to install this.

A nice feature of the module is the ability to set difference lighting, window, and sound patterns to your liking. For example: short siren upon locking or unlocking, rear windows up
after the vario roof locks up or down, blinking hazard lights while certain operations go on. Cool!

I installed mine yesterday and it was very easy. I customized my settings after the module was in the car and that alone is amazing. It really is a fantastic addition to the SL 230.

SMARTTOP MODULE INSTALL IN ST LOUIS
Hello There! Do you have a recommended site in St. Louis for the installation of the SmartTop? The place where I had it installed in my SLK several years ago attempted to install the one I purchased from you a few months ago, and the individual who successfully installed it on the SLK no longer was with the firm, and the others were completely clueless and butchered the install attempt. I attempted to contact you for troubleshooting, however, never did receive a response. Please let me know as the module is back in the original box. Thank you.

Got the SmartTop Module from eBay last year and it was the best purchase! It was a little pricey for my liking but it was worth it since you can't do much (mods) with such a classy car anyway...

If anyone need help doing it in Toronto, let me know! My mechanic did the job in 30 minutes but he said the instructions were not clear. He used his own instincts to connect the module.
