Pulled the trigger on an SL600

Here is my initial impressons:

Pros:
Leather on dash looks richer, softer (is it the same though)?
V12 power, instant traction loss with esp off (yes, i consider that a pro)
Distronic - I actually use this alot in my FX45
Great throttle response
Heated Steeringwheel - Need it for the 8 degree temp tomrw.

Cons: (all the work i have to do to make myself content with its appearance)

Power was too smooth for my taste - I hit 120 already but it didn't feel like i was going that fast. In the 55, You feel it neck pinning. WTF
Way too quiet for my taste. This thing needs a free'r flowin, growly exhaust...real bad.
NO Paddle shifting - damn, oh well
I have to pay another 2k to lower it via lowering module (another head ache)
Ordered SL55 Tail lights (for that meaner look) $222/piece (not bad pricing)
It seems like the rear bumper looks identical to the sl55, except for where the center mesh part is. Wonder if that center piece can be swapped out to accomodate quad exhaust tips.
When we compared the two cars side by side, my SL55 looked incredibly meaner, wider, lower, more exotic. Just from the BBS Rims, and lowering I guess, but what a difference that made.
I now have the BBS on my SL600, and stored teh factory 600 rims which I thought were ugly for that car.
So what did MSRP of 142,640 get me? - My real reason for going for the V12 was the potential the tuners offered (IE Renntech ECU III)

Will post pictures once I lower it.

Color is same as the sl55 - black/charcoal, only has the walnut wood which i dont like. ANyone care to buy this? I ordered Brabus Birdseye Maple setup.

If you are ever interested in selling your charcoal V12 floormats, I would be interested in purchasing them. I've been trying to get them for my 500 as they are softer, and they are not available yet for purchase in the US!

Chicago, but the car will be shipped to Miami soon. Tomorrow supposed to be 8 degrees. Whopee, looking forward to staying home by my fireplace.

You can get the for about $190 a piece... any aftermarket shop can order it for you. Don't order from the dealer directly; they'll probably charge you retail..

The hardest part is INSTALLATION. Get ready for a 3-4 hour work. Your dealer can do it for you, but get ready to pay $100/hr.

Are you changing you tune Wannabe? I thought you were a die-hard AMG guy and didn't think the 600 was all that? Hmmm...
