SL/R230 Painted headlights on R230 ?

'07 SL65 AMG

Painted headlights on R230 ?

I am considering painting the inside housing on my '07 headlights. I have searched but can't find pictures but surely someone must have done this already.

Does anyone have pictures of either partially painted, fully painted, toned please post. Greatly appreciated

I have not seen an R230 with it. Kamil has done it on his cl600 if you want to get an idea of what it may look like. Search "more mods for the season."

That explains why I can't find any. Yeah I've seen Kamil's.

On a side note, this front grille and bumper/lip looks great. Anyone know's what it is?

I painted the inside housings of my 07' SL65. I will see if i can dig up the pictures i took. It was pretty time consuming to say the least.

The biggest pain was getting the ring around the projection lens off theirs a tab at the top and bottom on the inside that is tuff to get at

Their stock together with butyl rubber sealant and a few metal clips I used a heat gun to slowly heat the edges and pried it apart.

Yea thanks again! Very glad to hear that I doesn’t effect brightness, still haven’t done it yet but it’s high on the list. Will post pictures when I do it! Soon!!!
