My new toy.

Hello.

The winter was so boring so I decide to buy a new car.
I have read that few of "us" have also bought SUV's for daily driver so I decide to buy it also... but NOT Range Rover. .. NOT ML63 AMG...
I decide to buy fastest and best SUV in whole planet... BMW X6M.
For two weeks ago I took a flight to Köln (Germany) and bought this car and drive 3000 km to my home. Germany - Denmark - Sweden - Finland.
Car is white with black leather interior. Al equipments + winter package.
I have drove Range and ML63 AMG and now this car first time and I'm really happy with it. .... the car is fast. .Car hit 300 km/h at the autobahn. and I was very impressed about the stability the car have in that speed..
Now the engine have 555hp and next step is gone be tune+downpipes 670 hp.
I have also ordered new set of Hamann 22" Anniversary wheel setup. Hamann paint them also as same color the car is. (Alpinweiss) so al details at the car is going to be white also.

One bad thing is that my SL600 are gone lose to this car from the straight line from 0-100 km/h. It's a monster from the line with four wheel drive .

Yes I now : ).... I love the engine ... and the quality at the whole car.
You will feel that the whole car is made from a one single piece....
It just perfect

So I think Aztec and X6 does not have anything in common... try it then you now what I'm talking about.
I was so disappointed at my friends ML63 AMG when I test drive it for one year ago...

Hmmm... What makes you think Down Pipes will add another 70 BHP I can def see the ECU tune adding the 45 BHP (Possibly more, depending on HOW much tuning room the Factory ECU left on the table?) but no way are Down Pipes alone adding an extra 70 HP.. I know from personal exp modding a bunch of different cars w/Down Pipes over the years, but a VERY good comparo is how much HP Dwn Pipes makes on our SL V12 Biturbos. I personally saw Post tuning W/DP's a solid 25- rwhp, or 30 BHP... So how did you get 70 BHP gains off DP's Or did you forget to mention more modifications?

Gratz on the new SUV, I too love everything about it BUT the exterior.. I picked up the RangeRover Sport Supercharged V8, it has 22" wheels too & I'm deff swapping them out for some lightweight 18"-19"s (whatever fits over the huge Brembo's) as the 22"s are def NOT adding ANY performance, quite the opposite huge 22"s are taking away 25-30 BHP..

*** Hmm.. The tune give much more.. I wanted to be careful with power notification
Here is a copy what ESS answer me. I can buy 99 Shell V-power here.

There are many different software calibrations on the market, the one we sell is developed over years of testing and tweaking to perfection. It develops the most safe power you can on 95 or 98RON. (you can have both files and switch yourself).

80+HP is possible with 98RON.

I have looked at what Hamann promise. They promise 670 hp ( Tune + downpipes). So I think I'm not so far away from 670 hp with downpipes.
I have already change the filters also.

*** Thank you.

I saw the car when you mention "here" you have bought it. It was also an inspiration for me to buy an SUV. I love the Range black look.... so it was between Range or BMW and I choose BMW because the X6M is much faster than Range .

The second reason was that I now much more about BMW cars so I can do repairs by my self.

The third reason was this.
This BMW X5 Diesel have 381 hp vs Range Super charger.

I would have thought that there is a greater difference when this one.
Yes Yes Yes BMW made a false start. and there was no fair competition.

Lol dont trust every single race you see, here's a bunch more against much much faster SUV's.. Here's the same V8 Supercharged RR here down the 1/4 BONE STOCK runs 12.81 @ pretty much 110 mph
http://www.dragtimes.com/Land-Rover-...lip-26696.html

Now your exact same model X6 w/555 hp BONE STOCK lol runs the exact same 12.81 @ 110
Hmmm you say the X6 is "Much faster" Not according to this info
http://www.dragtimes.com/BMW-X6-M-Timeslip-19221.html

Bone Stock RRS 510 hp Vs MODDED 700 hp G63 biturbo, the RangeRover has wicked top end & also a beast from a dig, watch vid jumps out nicely for a STOCK heavy SUV. The RRS takes the lead from a dig, then gets passed quickly but wait watch entire vid the RRS actually starts to real the 700hp G63 in if they would've kept recording this vid the RRS would've caught/past him.. Yes very slowly but he was def startig to real him back in, that's crazy as the G63 has 110 more hp & almost 200 more TQ Aerodynamics plays a huge roll.

Here's a few examples of my same exact year/model RRS bone stock 510 hp Vs Porsche cayenne Turbo modded to 600 hp... Watch the RRS real it in & run it down. Wonder what my Modified ECU/Pulley/Exhaust 700 hp RRS would do to that Porsche

Hardly anyone runs these things dwn the 1/4, I'm fairly confident my 700hp RRS would hit high 11's

Either way, they're BOTH awesome SUV's & a blast when modded to 700+hp w/AWD launches way harder than my SL

Yes both are great cars but I'm pretty sure BMW also have the best top speed.

This video is a fair race.

I own now 4 Mercedes cars and I have bought them because my friends.
I want only show and discuss with Mercedes owners there are better cars in the market than Mercedes are... sorry for that.
One thing more... the new Mercedes SUV are going to look exactly the same as X6... only the grill is different....
So I think you can accept this car also in the future...
Test drive an X6M and test for example ML63 AMG. Then you now what I mean.

Sorry.

there are better cars than merc. youre right... but that's not one of them. if you've bought 4 benzs because your friends told you too.. well, that was a poor decision. again, I hope you're happy worth it.. but its not an attractive vehicle.

Sorry.. You can keep cherry picking races that aren't TIMED or @ real 1/4 mile tracks that show the X6m being faster than all. I posted 2 different actual 1/4 mile races w/ALL time slip info on ET's Your same model 555 hp X6m ran a BEST 1/4 mi 12.82 @ 110 mph the RangeRover ran same identical 12.82 @ 110 mph BOTH vehicles were BONE STOCK, how do you still think your x6m is much, much, faster? Lastly fairly certain your supposed SUV, can't actually do ANYTHING like the Land Rover Range Rover lineup can do.. Would you feel safe trying this? (barely getting wet in Range Rover world)
Or.. More extreme actual off roading on/over steep steep dirt hills, thru deep mud, over giant rocks, deep water crossing etc etc.. I'm 100% certain the x6m can't do ANY of these off road tasks BETTER or even run close to the RRS or ANY Land Rover vehicle for that matter.

I mean we are actually talking about which SUV is better right?

The 555 hp X6m is indeed FAST, but not any faster than the RangeRover that actually has 50 less HP, yet still runs door to door in a proper timed race run down 1/4 mile track w/same mph trap. And the RRS etc will run circles around x6m in ANY 4x4 OFF ROAD natural or man made environment period.

But if you had the Latest brand new 2015 X6M w/far better 8 speed trans & more hp/tq nearly 570 hp now, this model is indeed SLIGHTLY faster in straight line vs Latest Regular RRS, BUT RangeRover just came out w/New Perf model SVR RRS about 900 lbs lighter, new 8 speed trans & hotter factory tune rated at 550 hp 500 tq... It is an absolute MONSTER it broke & holds the current Nurburgring track record vs all SUV's & even beat a boatload of fast street cars etc etc.. Here you should've bought this, it is the ultimate SUV, NOT the hideous Ugly Duckling x6m Chk it here..

Well I'think I must give up...
I mention earlier my friend had a Ranger Rover and we had same outcome before I decide to buy the X6M.
The M is faster and better to drive... If not have been better of course I would have bought a Range. He sold it because he had the car to much at the workshop repairs.

I'll go a couple of times a year doing in the forest firewood with my Toyota Hilux 4WD. When I'm coming bak I have on the stage a big amount of firewood .... so Range, or BMW can't even compare the characteristics of the terrain and the car have never cheated on me.

Thericker test drive the M even if it ugly !!!!! I'm 100% sure you will be surprised. I must also tell you the M is the best car to drive and handle.!!!!!
I have never drive a better car than the M!!!! . The seats are also the best you can buy...
But for look I love the Range in black color... best looking SUV for sure!
PS. BMW X6M new one cost approx 260 000 USD here and I think ML63 AMG and Range are in same price level also.
The ugliest SUV is Porsche Cayenne!!!!!!! Not X6M.The more you look at it the more you like it .. so it became to me. : )

Hi...

I have test my car at 1/8 mile run.
8,04 sek / 60 ft 1,777 sek / 144 km/h.
I took an Honda CBR 1000 RR and a "SPORT CAR" Chervolet C6.

I had my heavy wheels at my car but next time I'm gone use OEM setup and I'm pretty sure the time is gone be under 8 sek

Here the races with the Honda CBR 1000 RR and C6

Thank you... glad you like it.
Yesterday I took of al the grills at the front and bring them to a painter.
I'm gone paint them also white... I'm gone use small "black details" around the intercooler intakes at the front pumper. So it's not became complete white at the front....
Have install Hamann rear window lip in white color also and it looks perfect as you can see at the race video.

You're very welcome. Awesome! Sounds like the car is really going to stand out. Post up some pictures when you get everything installed and done!

Finally 1/4 specs

Hello my friends.

We have discuss how fast the X6M really is.!!!!! Its fast!
Today I had a chance to test my car at 1/4 mile.
I have been in Pudasjärvi airport where it was a meet. Lot of cars and motorbikes. I won over a Camaro and BMW M5 E39...at easy way. Both of them was not stock. Everyone was supriesed how fast X6M is.! : ).
Here is the best result.
- 12,565 sek
- 111,78 mph
So ist fast?
I had my big Hamann 22" wheels with 335 and 295 tires.
Next time Im gone use stock wheels and hope for better times.
Then I hope there is an Range Rover or ML63 AMG so I can eat them alive!!! : ).
Juha

V12-Biturbo
Way to go excellent testing, but you're far from stock, tuned to 670hp w/hi flo filters & using per your quote
I can buy 99 Shell V-power here.
etc etc NOT apples to apples testing & still barely edging out a bone stock RR by maybe 2 car lengths as Bone stock RR runs 12.8x @ 110mph.. New RRS's come w/22"-21" wheel setups... Not a big deal in perf as the gearing is properly matched to these big wheels..

Edit your 22" Hamman wheels are def lighter than stock, they are Forged 1 piece aluminum & will be @ best equal to a slightly smaller diameter stock wheel @ 19"-20" here's link to your Hammans etc. ADD TO WATCHLIST

22"
One-piece light alloy wheel
Multi-spoke-design
Silver

I have only the tune at the car + filters.
I have deliberately left
- Downpipes
- Shell V-power
- Smaller lighter wheel setup?
because I want to see if't help or not.
So I don't have 670 hp at the car yet.

You are right regarding the wheels and tires. I have look at it today.
I thought that the difference would have been bigger... sorry...

- OEM 20" 315 / 35 tires dia is 729 mm
- Hamann 22" 335 / 25 tires dia is 726 mm

So the difference is only 0,3%.
I want to weight them also and I have one set of wheels in 19" and I don't remember now what the tire size is at them. Tomorrow I now..
If it smaller and lighter than OEM I'm gone test it at the car next time also... only so I can see if it help or not.
Next time I hope the time would be nearly 12,3 sek .....

BTW... there was an BMW M6 V10 also and made 13,64 / 115 mph. and on the same track.

I think your X6 is beautiful and I think the new Merc GLE Coupe is beautiful. They're different cars, not meant for everyone to like. The X6 has been selling very well for years, which means huge profits for BMW. That's why Merc copied them and released the GLE Coupe.

I just don't like it when others on here bash the X6 when Mercedes realized their mistake and are creating the same exact SUV......except a decade too late.
