My 2003 Mercedes SL500 Roadster will not start
Well I am getting two maulfuction codes one is the red battery light and the other is the ESP. I called some mechanics and also went onto mercedes forms site and everyone suggested that I change out the crank shaft sensor. I replaced it and still does not start. The battieres are good. Any Ideas what it could be?

Try turning the wheel fully right then left to reset the ESP.
Put a charger on the rear battery overnight, and test both batteries for voltage in the morning.
I've seen it could also be a brake light switch, or ECU going bad.

I would change the front starter battery as this is a small lead acid type and cheap to replace. It could be giving you a false reading as the rear AUX battery is supplying power to it via a DC/DC converter.
