MB SL500 2004, Toyota LC80
Wink R230 repair diary.
Hi

I'm more like 4x4 guy, but on one strange day I decided to try out cabrio.. So I bought SL500 that needed some repairs.. SL500 as I've heard that is it good and I can fit into that car

Here is 1st video from my repair diary that has been subtitled by myself into English. Other episodes will follow.

Well I'm kind a stuck at the moment.. Those valves have o-ring seals and next to seals are square cut support rings.. I can't find any local store nor e-store in EU where to buy those.. I know that you can buy those in state, so I kindly ask, is someone willing to buy a bunch of those for me and send it to Estonia, EU... Or I just have to add three o-rings together - seems like others have done it, but I'm not so confident about that solution. It guarantees me that I need to service my ABC more closely and more often as I believe those side o-ring (when I put 3 together) will wear out in few years.

so it installed 3 o-rings in a row.. instead of square support ring + oring + square support ring...

putting valve back inside the aluminum block was hard.. I guess only time will tell how good idea was it or something... anyway dismounting it again is and well know process now

Yes indeed, keep those videos coming in!! Give plenty of detail if you get into the pump and hoses. I am dying to see if you can get her up on all the struts and get her leveled off.

I recall using square cut o rings on my Alfa Romeo engine builds. Use them in the cylinder head gasket to seal oil and water passages. Try an Italian parts place, in US I always use International Auto Parts/ Centerline Internaional .
