Suction Valve Test ABC
Can you tell if this is a bad suction valve, should open completely, correct?

Here is the response I got from an S55 owner who had a bad valve and tested his vs the opening on mine
I saved the bad suction valve and checked again this morning. After watching your video, they seem to open the same amount. I would say your valve is definitely bad. The plunger should open much farther. A good one should open most or all of the window in the housing.

Your valve appears to be moving around 3mm. Have a look at an open valve with a 6mm wooden dowel inserted to gauge its displacement (attached screenshot from this German site).

How are we sure the German website has a good valve? Not saying you are wrong, but just have 2 different versions; one person that had changed a bad valve that says the valve should open up almost the entire length of the window.....and the bad valve has the same or even alittle more travel than mine.

Used the butt end of my caliper to test the travel, it does have a total travel of 3mm. I also tested OHMs and its the same as the German webpage... have a friend who will test a spare.

Although no surprise to Bobterry99.....got a 2nd valve and same travel...if you cant measure it what you should see if the beginning of the beveling to travel to the midpoint.
