You sure there isn't a CD already loaded in it? Try the eject button first. But on a side note, I have all mine and frankly don't waste your money, use your phone.

100% sure there is no CD in there the only CD in it is the one i bought and forced it in but it's no worries i can get it out. my problem is why it's not working. it's not automatically accepting the CD

Okay, got it. There is no CD.
So there is a CD?
Whatever, if it won't draw-in a CD, then likely a switch or sensor in COMAND's disk-handling mechanism is faulty. Use a web search to find an article on basic COMAND repairs. At a minimum you should find instructions for disassembling COMAND, and on your own you may figure out what is wrong.
Years ago I had the opposite problem: COMAND would not eject a disk, and this was resolved by partially disassembling COMAND and cleaning the rollers.
Finally, I have a smart phone with Google Maps, and I also have a Garmin. Yet my personal preference is to use COMAND for navigation. Between the voice prompt and the display in the instrument cluster it does a better job of alerting me of an upcoming turn.

I wouldn't bother to look for a fuse.
I am certain there is guidance on the web that will enable you to solve your problem. But I have no links; so unless someone else has something to offer, I suggest you search on your own. Maybe try "COMAND Repair", "COMAND Troubleshooting", "COMAND Disassembly"...

It sure sounds like a CD is stuck in Head Unit, also make sure someone did not Replicate the EBay CD and actually burn whats supposed to be CD to a DVD and Print label on it. Could be a Bad Disk. Try sliding in regular known music CD.

On my SL it turned out to be a stuck CD in the comand. It would not play either
Check in the slit where you insert the CD if there are 2 white thick plastic tabs that prevents ant CD from being inserted.
Use a thin wire and a flashlight to see in the slit where the CD goes. .
On my SL the CD would not work at all. The comand would not insert or eject any CD at all.
So early this summer i decided to check what was wrong. I used a little wire to hold up the cover/cloth in the slit and used a flashlight so i could see what was in there and there where 2 large white plastic tabs that prevented the CD to be inserted.
There was also 2 thin white plastic tabs there as well and when i pushed the the thin white left plastic tab to the left the CD player ejected the CD but no CD came out
Then i used a thin wire and held the thin white plastic tab that is in the slit to the left and inserted a CD and the CD was inserted but the CD made some really bad noise so i pushed eject to stop the noise
The CD i had inserted came out as soon as i pushed the eject button but to my suprise yeat another CD came out that had been stuck in the comand.
I guess that is why the 2 thick white plastic tabs was in the way for inserting any CD.
This was early this summer and everything works fine on my car now and i have not had any problems with the CD/comand at all :
I bought a new Tele Atlas 2014 Final Update map CD over northern Europe on ebay for just a few dollars and i am very pleased with that map CD
