Need help. 2007 SL550 Power Steering Pump. Replacement.
Hello guys. I have a 2007 SL550. The power steering pump is making a noise. Like a bad bearing grinding kinda noise. Mechanic diagnosed that the pump is bad.
Ooops.
Bought a used pump off eBay.
Tryna replace the pump on my own today. It's hard.
Removed the radiator/condenser fan. Removed the radiator/coolant hose.
Removed 3 bolts on the front of the pump. Took 2 hours.
Not enough space removing screws on the side. No room to remove bolts in the rear.
Can anyone help me please? I need a clearer picture of the procedure.
Don't wanna get a mechanic. Wife would laugh at me.

Someone here did a nice write up- search the forums for it.
Don't forget to drain all the fluid- raise the car up and down a bunch of times- put fresh pentosin 11 (10 quarts) in the reservoir

i put back everything but now there’s coolant light on. It’s telling me to top off coolant.
i did spill a substantial amount of coolant when taking off the hose previously but I’ve added enough coolant into the translucent tank, which is most full now.
Why is it still telling me to top off coolant? The coolant light and message 'please top up coolant' message appears intermittently as i drive the car.
Is it something to do with the little plug as shown in the pic below with the arrow? I did take it off when trying to change out the pump previously.
