Contour seat controls are dead
In the R230 I recently purchased, both controls on the contour seats are dead. I checked under the seats and wiring looks okay. Anyone else seen this and know how to troubleshoot?

The electric controls could be faulty, the air bladders in the cushion may have leaks, there may be a break in the pneumatic supply lines, or the pump could be faulty. Star Diagnosis can sort this out quickly in a matter of minutes.

I just worked in this last week. 95% of the time it's a broken air line. A quick search on you tube shows the fix. It's a brittle air line that breaks when you move the seat forwards and backwards. Watch the video, pull the fuse, replace the fuse and listen under the seat for an air leak. I followed the directions in the video but I didn't remove the seat. You can unbolt it then tilt it back so you have enough room to work under it. You need a 12 reverse torxs socket to unbolt the seats. Then a new piece of flexible line. Video said 3mm by 5mm but that was a little loose on my car. Just post any questions.

I have just the dial on my lumbar support, there is an electrical connector but this does not plug into anything, its the same on the passenger side too. My dial switch just two pipes connecting to the back of it,
I pulled the fuse behind the drivers seat, (UK right hand drive) which is also the same fuse for the boot / trunk self close.
I also pulled the F9 and F27 I think in the engine drivers side. They were large fuses, 40A and 30A respectively. Are these the correct fuses do you know?
Thanks

I'll check the passenger side next.

I would listen for a leak on the passenger side. Remember to reset the pump with the fuse pull. Also a chance the bladders may be bad. That's not a cheap easy fix.
I fixed mine but when I tested the passenger side, the side bolsters inflated then "pop" and that was it for them. They're on my long term fix list. Lumbar still works.

I am not that bothered, but any other things I could check or reset?

By the way I was looking at the fuse chart and although unrelated I noticed a fuse for 'wiper recess heating', how do I know if I have this option?
Location:
Its a 20A yellow fuse in engine comp. driver side.

In my case the issue was the lumbar air bladders. I believe I ruptured them while working on the front lock cylinder for the roof. I ended up having to plug the air line under both seats to keep from having issues and causing failure of the other pneumatic systems. Replacement bladders are about $150 each and it is a difficult repair.

G320 cdi lumbar seats not working
Hello everybody, I have a problem with the lumbar adjustment for 1 week. I checked fuse 13, it's ok, I checked the pump, it's ok, but it doesn't receive the command from that circuit. I inflated the lumbar support, there are no leaks from the seat, I don't know if it's from the pump to the seat or if there are any leaks. When I inflated the seats, using the vacuum pump directly from the battery, on the "return" circuit, it was as if a vacuum was being created. Do you have any idea what else to do? Btw, I bought a pump from a W164, but that didn't work either..
