Can anyone tell me if theres an OE Upgrade for these, ive seen the ECE Alloy ones and i dont want them , theyre shorter so that doesnt work and ******* expensive too
Thanks i will , is there not a Black Series version thats a bit more durable , dont really car about harsh or vibrations but need them to be stiffer and last !

Or Any Generic uprated versions , i see MB use a parts bin type mentality on many Versions , is there a known one to choose ?
unfortunately we are all victims of these engine mounts, I only drive V12's it's even worse for us to replace
I never see anything as good in terms of comfort but longer lasting
Thanks for those , Ebay UK has lots of aftermarket sellers at more realistic prices, Febi Biltsein is one of the brands being offered so i guess i'll buy some and stick them in . You will be aware that as these Age with use they collapse and drop the engine down , i cannot allow that to happen as im squeezing an Anti roll bar already into the space below the sump , a better mount would hold up longer but i will probably put a shim below the mount in the subframe to give a little more space and bit more time before having to do this again !
Your OEM part is A2202402717 x2 OEM price europe 95.82 € x2
you can replace them with aftermarket parts (1 peice) :
swag germany 10 13 0092,,,,,,,,,58,89 €
FEBI BILSTEIN 17954,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,61,52 €
ORIGINAL IMPERIUM 31954,,,,,,54,89 €
LEMFÖRDER 26076 01,,,,,,,,,,,, 61,52 €
VAICO V30-0764 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,52,17 €
I replace my stock 55 motor mounts every 30 to 50k miles. They simply do not last. I would go with the aftermarket ones with Creative Steel. My next set will be from them.
So heres the bits i asked about , sorry i couldnt add pics to the message system for some reason . These seem to have the Hex drive on them for the ARB Drop links . Top bar, drop link with hex drive .
So in case anyones interested, i have acquired some Aftermarket Lemforder ones, good fit and quality and you can see just how much the OE ones had compressed, i now have some clearance under the Sump to the Anti roll bar , i'll mess about with that a bit more tomorrow maybe ....
Its a pig of a job getting the new ones in , no room and not easy to see anyhting up there
Lets see if the ARB clears the sump once its all bolted up . Im still struggling to confirm that the ball joints i need that go in the bottom arms are these A2113230068
I really need to know if the SL350 track control arm and the SL55 AMG version are the same , the hole it needs to go in is pictured earlier in this thread and is around 34mm O.D .
Im being repeatedly asked for VIN by the sellers, but as my car is an SL55 they were never fitted as STD !!!
Hi , thanks for the reply . , do you have part numbers and pics of these please, its why i started this thread to ask if they were available , shame you didnt answer before i did the job ,lol .
I searched for them and couldnt find any for reference, did you go to main dealer ?
What do they drive like , any stiffer, longer lasting , taller ??
