SL/R230: Does the iCarSoft MBII read vario roof faults?
First and foremost, the seal on the left side of the license would never partially overlap the title or be cut off at the bottom like this. The seal was obviously faked in. If that was a real license, why whould anyone try to do that?
you don't have brains
http://verify.sos.ga.gov/verificatio...mitComplaint=Y
lookup the licence number
UCAR047736
unless he is Peter and fake too hahahahahaha
Please Leej
. My sister, if I had one, would come there (wherever there is), and put you over her knee and spank your butt. By the way, where in the world are you from pMercury? Russia somewhere?, eastern Europe?Maybe we should start a game like "Where in the World is pMercury"
Here is the sad part. You think you're slick and smart, but you really aren't. You might be able to fool some newbies some times, but not everyone is gullible.
@speedlimit A month ago you told me you would take care of this issue if I backed off. And I did back off. But it's obvious nothing came of it. pMercury is still peddling his stuff, logging in under multiple accounts, which is supposed to be against the rules, yet here it is. And YOU KNOW that is a fake account. And he's doing it in order to promote his product using fake "satisfied customer reviews".
Why are you condoning this?

I whatsapp and video with them daily you are just a spreading fake news as usual
and everybody sees that you just changed subject, why don't you go on with the Remington being fake ?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Anyhow, I believe you are actually a customer of Peter's, and you posted to this thread at his request.
everybody is free to chose the tools they want, Like Leej said earlier impartially
And this does not excuse Dudeman to insult me, anyone may express his opinions, discuss and so on, but you may not insult members like "YOU ARE A SHAMELESS SCUMBAG !!!"
This just shows he is a troubled person
I am not from Eastern Europe, not from Russia, I am 100% genuine Dutch and lived in New York for many many years
Corona Virus should get everybody realise what we are on this world and make ourselves better for the after corona
Amen, stay safe
I did call Remington at the number in the photo, and he is a real person, and he really did purchase a Xentry from pMercury, and is apparently satisfied with the product and service received. Nice guy, was looking for a product like this, found it here and bought it. So, since it works for him, great. Good job.
So if you feel like flaming me, go for it. I still stand by opinion of pMercury in general.
Is this what I'm looking for? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33036878651.html
@pmercury am I following this correctly?

If you want cheap, get C3 and 2015 DAS not those chinese junk versions from 2016-2020
pm me for info on the real thing

Here is my experience (although I am sure there are others on the forum with more experience and knowledge that myself).
I bought a C3 multiplexer and cables from Aliexpress for about $185 (the seller was "obd2device", but there are many sellers on Aliexpress). If you go this route, I recommend finding a seller that has had numerous sales, appears to be in the OBD device business, and will hopefully be available to help you if needed. I also bought an HDD (for Dell 630) from the same seller for $50. The HDD had all the software on it, but still requires some setup once installed in a laptop. I bought an old Dell D630 on ebay for $55. I removed the original HDD from the Dell 630, and inserted the HDD from the Aliexpress seller, and everything booted up. You then have to set up the various software programs (EPC, DAS, Xentry, etc.) and there was some software tools on the HDD to help with this, but not a lot of instruction on how to proceed. I'm certainly no computer expert, and while I got about 80% through the process, I had trouble with a few things; I reached out to the seller, and he logged into the laptop via Team Viewer (which was already installed on the HDD) and finished the set up for me (no charge). After that, everything has worked perfectly, and I have about $290 in the whole system. The software version I have does have developer mode, although I have never had a need to use it. I mainly use mine for diagnostic and problem solving. I also have an old E320 (W211) and have used the SDS for that car as well (actually more than the R230). I only use this laptop for working on my car, and I have connected it to the internet, although some say you shouldn't do this (I had it on the internet with Team Viewer so the seller could help with the setup); but I don't have any other personal info on that laptop, so I don't have any security worries.
Since then, just for a project over Christmas, I bought an 120GB SATA Solid State Drive (SSD) on amazon for $30, and found a different version of SDS that I installed on the SSD (again, this took a little set up time), and it runs much faster than the HDD version I purchased on Aliexpress.
If setting all this up sounds too difficult or you don't enjoy doing things on your own, you can buy a complete system with multiplexer, laptop, and software installed and setup, but it will cost more. You can also purchase from an expert who offers additional support and help, but that will also cost more. It really just depends on how much you want to spend and how much time you are willing to take to figure it out yourself, and of course some risk that what you buy may not work.
Mine has been working fine, and I valued the learning experience and satisfaction of setting it up myself. The old laptop is a little clunky, but it is fine for what I am using it for; I'm only using it a few times a year anyway.
Again, this is just my experience; I know there are other options out there. By all means, explore those options and share what you find.
Lee
Maybe I didn't express myself properly above,
you will get a far more stable system with C3-2015 like Leej then with a C4-ChinaJunkXentry2016-2020 pack if you stick with your old MB forever
2016-2020 chinese versions are junk, not properly installed, unstable, manipulated (even windows is and cracked licence) worms and trojans included
the difference in price between these last and the real thing (just ask me) is ridiculous compared to maintenance & parts, I mean, this is Mercedes Benz, not Hyundai
and don't forget the really really budget choice: Foxwell that's only 100$
happy to see opinions can been given without hate as fuel and no insulting
