Just picked up SL600 and the pump was replaced for the ABS - the car is raising itself without the buttons being pushed while driving. Is there a straightforward error here ? Going to check fluid ASAP . Thanks !
Checked the fluid levels and cold it was completely full! When the shop changed the pump they topped off the fluid. Lowered the fluid level and now it goes down on the button ! Thanks!

Just remember is low on dipstick when cold 20 c, and should be high on dipstick when hot. Good is was just something so easy.
When the engine is running level should be at the lower mark irrespective of temperature and at the high mark when engine has been off for at least five minutes.
Took it to the shop today and they rodeo calibrated it assuring me that it would most likely do the trick . After driving it off the shop and gettingup to about 60 mph it pushed the suspension as high as possible for the remainder of the drive. When I turn off the engine it sinks all the way down . Set up an appt to get it diagnosed Wednesday . Still a fast beast but really need to get this one done ! Any thoughts from the experts in this forum? Thanks!
It seems both your front and rear ABC valve blocks are defective or are in need of a rebuild, but if this were the case I would expect the chassis to begin rising the moment you turned the engine on. So I suggest the following test.
Start the engine. Press the rid height button three times to restore the chassis level to its normal position. Switch the engine off. Remove the blue15-amp fuse from the main fuse box (picture) to remove power from the ABC controller. Drive the car and see if the level changes; if it doesn't, then you have an issue with the ABC controller or one of its sensor inputs.

Bobterry , Dipstic low clearly say 20 deegre C and upper say 80 deegre C
I estimate 150 members read this forum everyday, and I am confident every one of them has a dipstick which reads (in German) "motor running"/"motor off". The oil is at a higher level with the engine off because the accumulators hold less oil with the engine off.
I took the car to Mercedes ..they said the front two sensors are bad . They are replacing them with Mercedes parts. They recommended the backs be done as well (but they’re not broke yet so I’m not fixing them ) . Hope this stops my car from riding all the way up at speed . Thanks !!
